Take a Break From Conventional Hair Removal

The human hair growth cycle is between 4-12 weeks, which is why our laser hair removal packages contain 6-8 treatments. Approximately 15% of the hair is in the Anagen phase at a time, so each treatment will target this amount of follicles which are then destroyed during treatment. During the course of treatment, it is likely for the hair follicles in the other phases of growth to be stunted or delayed in their usual growth cycle due to the wavelength of energy hitting them along with the active growth follicles.
For this reason, we begin to extend treatment increments by several weeks about half-way through the treatment series. Our goal is to target as many hairs in the active growth phase as possible.  By the end of a treatment series, patients can expect to see approximately 85% overall reduction. Lighter and finer hairs are unable to be targeted due to lack of pigment.
Touch-up laser hair removal treatments should be expected in the future, on occasion, due to hormones that fluctuate throughout the natural aging process. Which is why we offer our Lifetime Touch-Up Warranty, which ranges from $10-$50 per treatment (depending on the area(s) originally treated) for the rest of their lives at our practice, should they need the occasional touch-up.
