Dr. Matthew Dunham grew up in northern Michigan, and received his Bachelor in Science in 1997 from Central Michigan University. After graduation, he worked as a lab technician and research assistant for the organ transplant division of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. He attended medial school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he was awarded a National Health Service Corps scholarship. He went on to complete a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Colorado in Denver. He has 15 years of experience in a broad range of practice environments including caring for the underserved at a county hospital, educating medical students as an assistant professor in a university setting, and private practice.
Dr. Dunham’s interest in Aesthetics began years ago, in large part through encouragement by his patients. Many would lament about the changes in their body following child birth or just through normal aging processes.
He recognized these concerns were real, and how much it affected their overall self esteem. So began his journey into the aesthetics world. After educating himself on the subject matter, he opened Springs Body Sculpting & Aesthetics in 2016. Since then the med spa has grown significantly. He insists that all products and treatments used in his med spa are evidence based and vetted by the FDA. On this, he has never wavered.
Kelsie is a veteran in the always evolving esthetics industry, with more than 20 years of experience. She specializes in Business Operations, building and managing strong teams, sales, and ongoing product education. Her work experience includes the re-education and turnaround of individual medical spa clinics as well as the overall management of as many as 14 clinics over a multi-state region at once. Kelsie also has extensive experience with product formulation, working alongside various master formulators to gain an unparalleled hands-on education throughout her journey within this industry.
She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University where she majored in Liberal Arts and minored in music performance. In addition to her business acumen, she is also an advanced certified yoga instructor and is classically trained in concert piano and classical voice. Having taught these subjects to many students over the years, Kelsie has developed a deep love and passion for sharing knowledge and practical skills to others, which prompted her to open the school VKMD Institute of Medical Aesthetics, combining her love of mentoring others and the fascinating world of the esthetics industry.
What greatly motivates Kelsie is to be a positive force in peoples’ lives, be it through professional aspirations or personally motivated goals. She prides herself in her ability to lead people along the path towards achieving the best version of themselves!
Karen is a Colorado Native. She grew up in Monument, CO until middle school and attended high school in Denver, CO. After high school, she traveled to Australia for 6 months where she had many adventures like working on a lobster boat, picking tomatoes at a tomato farm, climbing the tallest tree in Australia, attending the largest 3-day concert in the lower hemisphere, and she even trapped an octopus.
Upon returning to the states, she attended Colorado State University and obtained a bachelor’s degree In Horticulture. Before she graduated college, she completed an internship in Las Vegas at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. During her internship, Karen learned a lot about customer service. Shortly after she graduated, she became a licensed aesthetician. Karen loves learning and is continuing her education with the goal of becoming a nurse.
Karen enjoys working with the knowledgeable team at Springs Body Sculpting & Aesthetics. She fully believes that the treatments, products, and modalities that they offer are top of the line and she is happy to be a part of the team.
In her free time, Karen likes to ski in the winter and hike, bike, and kayak in the summer. She spends most of her time studying and traveling. Her goal is to travel every year to a destination that she has never been to.
Laura is a licensed aesthetician that specializes in body contouring at Springs Body Sculpting and Aesthetics. She graduated from Avalon Institute and is passionate about seeing people transform into the best version of themselves.
Laura was born and raised in Colorado Springs and says it will be her forever home. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and her dog, Luna. She also enjoys traveling, tennis, camping, and trying out new foods. Her favorite thing about working at Springs Body Sculpting and Aesthetics is that she gets to meet and form connections with amazing people every day. She also loves being a part of the amazing transformations and confidence boosts she sees daily.
