Understanding Your Treatment

What Is PRP and How Does It Work?

PRP, or Platelet Rich Plasma, is a regenerative treatment that uses the patient’s own biological material to support tissue repair and renewal.

Treatment begins with a small blood draw. The blood is placed into a centrifuge that spins and separates its components, concentrating the platelet-rich plasma away from the red blood cells. Platelets contain a high concentration of growth factors, proteins that signal tissue repair, collagen production, cellular renewal, and other natural regenerative processes. Once prepared, the concentrated PRP is delivered back into the targeted tissue either through direct injection or through channels created during microneedling.

Because PRP uses the patient’s own blood components, it works with existing biological processes and introduces nothing foreign into the body.

At Springs Body Sculpting, PRP is used in three primary applications. For skin rejuvenation, it is most commonly paired with microneedling to support collagen production and improve skin quality, texture, and tone. For hair restoration, it is injected directly into the scalp to support follicle health and encourage active growth. For select intimate wellness applications, PRP may be used to support tissue health and function.

Every treatment at Springs Body Sculpting is performed under the oversight of Dr. Dunham and our team of board-certified surgeons and trained estheticians, bringing extensive experience in cosmetic procedures to every session.

What can PRP Platelet Rich Plasma fix?

PRP is one of the most elegant treatments available because it works entirely with the body’s own biology. We are not adding anything foreign. We are concentrating and redirecting what the body already knows how to do.

Ready to Let Your Own Biology Do the Work?

Dr. Dunham and his team will build a PRP plan tailored to your goals and treatment area. All our treatment protocols are customized and tailored per patient, utilizing our strategic and methodical approach to create comprehensive stacked plans that are results-driven as opposed to being “sales”-driven. Comprehensive treatment plans are complete overarching, and often “stacked” protocols, where we focus on the end-result as the main goal upon completion. We strategically combine tailored methods of various treatments to work in symbiosis with one another to achieve the overall desired result.
